The "Photography" Room — Lights and Shadows is a bright and airy corner room upstairs, with an antique queen bed, balcony and reading nook. French doors open to a balcony with a view to the east, across Deep Creek valley, with a backdrop of the Smoky Mountains foothills. The room is decorated with a collection of old cameras and inspired by the thousands of "photographic moments" that the Great Smoky Mountains provide. On the walls are photographs of a mountain family, shot in nearby Sylva by photographer Jim Ayres.

Private bath with old-fashioned clawfoot tub with shower. Hair dryer and herbal soap, shampoo, and bubble bath. Central air conditioning, with independent controls. No TV. Comfy robes, a CD player, and a copy of “Day Hikes of the Smokies” to enjoy while you are staying with us. So that all guests can experience the rest and relaxation they came for, we do not have televisions at the Inn.

$160 double occupancy

Long holidays weekends require a three night minimum stay; weekends between May 1 and November 1 require a two night minimum stay. Shorter stays may become available, however, so please don't hesitate to call when you have a spur-of-the-moment urge to escape to the mountains. Also, the minimum stay requirement is removed one day before the calendar date.
